After we packed up and left camp this morning, we had only one thing left to do--canoe Jenny Lake. It's part of the annual tradition. The conditions this morning were so calm and delightful. The clean air was totally still, totally calm. We weren't really inclined to paddle much---we simply went out to a nice spot in the lake and sat around admiring the view and swapping our recollections of our previous canoe trips there. It was one of the finest "on the water" experiences either of us have had in a really long time. The canoe seats had seat-backs on them. So you could sit back and feel totally stable and comfortable. The concessionaire charges a mere $15 an hour for this canoe, including the life jackets and paddles. Is that a smoking deal or what?
